I just love this family. Of course, I’m supposed to love all of my clients, but this family is more than just a client…they’re my friends. I had the pleasure of going on a mission trip with David and Alicia back in 2006. If you’ve never been on a mission trip before, then can’t fully appreciate the bond that is created between a group of people placed in such a unique environment. I quickly learned that David is crazy and Alicia keeps him grounded. Regardless of whether we’re running a 5k, eating lunch or passing each other in church, David can always make me laugh. He has a great sense of humor and wears a smile on his face. And then there is Alicia. Even back in 2006 (once she realized how cool I was), she was super kind and welcoming to me as the newcomer of the group. She befriended me when I was timid and hiding behind my boyfriend (aka Wade!). She is truly one of the most compassionate women I’ve ever met…always attentive to what is going on around her. She is the first to volunteer to provide new moms a meal, the first to volunteer to babysit when you’re in a bind, the first to step up and reach out to those in need and the first to volunteer when you’re simply asking for volunteers! She’s a servant, and a humble servant at that. I’m bless to have a friend like Alicia in my life…David is just an added bonus. 😉
Before I ever purchase my first pro-grade camera, Alicia was eager to model for me. David always complied without complaint and as a result, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph them many times over the last 5 years. Thankfully, as their family has grown, I’ve also grown as a photographer and have been able to provide them with much higher quality photos in recent months. 🙂 And the best news? They’ve saved the wall space in their home for this specific session – can’t wait to see the finish product! Enjoy a look at their spring family mini session.
