I cannot remember a summer in which it rained as much as it has this summer. And I cannot remember a week in which it rained more than the week we planned Jake and Alicia’s engagement session. Of course, they would be driving in all the way from Oklahoma City for the last time before their August 15th wedding and it would NOT. STOP. RAINING. But when Saturday evening rolled around, the rain disappeared and the sun was absolutely glowing during their session!
We met up in Carrollton, Illinois to do the session at Jake’s Grandpa’s farm, which just so happens to be the same place Alicia said yes! Jake told her he really wanted to show her the new lights his Grandpa installed around the pond and she took the bait. The lights installed were only temporary 😉 , but they set the perfect tone for Jake to drop down on one knee and ask Alicia to spend the rest of her life with him!
I can’t wait to celebrate with these two next month!
