Matt & Erica have been together for EIGHT YEARS! And on November 4th, they exchanged vows and promised each other forever!
We kicked things off by photographing Erica’s pretty details!
I just love how these three pictures turned out!
Grandma’s watch, mom’s earrings and Matt and Erica’s rings!
While Mary Kim was photographing details, I ran over to Matt’s parents’ house for a few of him getting ready. The dark room with a smidgen of directional light made for some really awesome groom portraits!
Give that momma a kiss before you run off and get married!
Erica is just so pretty! I love her sweet smile and the beautiful details of her wedding dress!
That dress! <3
Matt and Erica opted to see each other before the wedding and Matt’s reaction was PERFECT.
I never pressure my couples to have a first look, but I always tell them it’s my favorite! 😉
They also exchanged gifts! Erica has been wanting to learn to play violin for a long time, so Matt surprised her with a violin! Erica surprised Matt with the best gift ever, but you’ll have to ask her about it!
Before we captured some great family formal portraits, we did a quick test shot. Matt took full advantage…
Love these final moments before Dad gives away his daughter…
Matt and Erica’s ceremony took place St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City.
That ring just DIDN’T WANT TO GO ON!
Matt and Erica love visiting the sea-lion shows. About a year ago, she dreamed of pictures in the sea-lion tunnel, but later dismissed the idea because she figured it would be impossible. The week of the wedding rolled around and we decided to just go for it. And now she will have these gorgeous sea-lion tunnel portraits to enjoy for the rest of her life!
We drove just a minute away from the St. Louis Zoo for bridal party creatives next to the Kerth Fountain.
These interactive, faux candids are always my favorite! <3
Nick Domescik for the win!
Second shooters. Why have them? Are they really necessary? Meh, I suppose not. But while I was getting the shot on the left, Mary Kim was getting the shot on the right. I love them both!
In the next three sets, I took the shot on the left and Mary Kim took the shot on the right!
I love that these two can be sweet and fun and romantic and goofy!
Off to the reception! Isn’t that cake so fun?! And a cookie bar… seriously, every reception needs a cookie bar!
Thanks for the behind the scenes, Mary Kim! Sorry I didn’t get any of you. Haha!
Thank you Matt and Erica and allowing me to photograph your wedding! It was an honor and most of all a true pleasure working with you guys!
