About the Session

Olivia’s senior session was split into two parts! We did a mini sunflower session last July and the remainder of her session last August. You also might remember Olivia from the exclusive EDP VIP basic model shoot or Fourth of July shoot. When planning for Olivia’s session, I knew she wanted a sunflower field. The sunflower field can be tricky because you have to hit it at exactly the right time. There are usually many other people and photographers in the field simultaneously, so we decided it was easier to just do it separate from the full-session. We drove over to Columbia Bottoms Conservation Area for a quick mini session in July while the flowers were still in bloom!

The majority of Olivia’s senior session was conducted in August where we did half of the session in downtown Alton (a favorite location for many locals) and the other half at Glazebrook Park. Do you remember the construction that was taking place last year at Glazebrook Park? The park was installing the new soccer fields, so there were piles of dirt and construction equipment in the background of my favorite spot. But we managed to capture all of the images in her black romper without any of the ugly background noise. The sun was streaming through the trees, which is my favorite! I love the genuine smiles in many of Olivia’s pictures. Olivia graduated from Alton High School and plans to attend SIUE. Below, you’ll read a little bit more about Olivia the summer before her senior year.

Dance, dance team

Go to college and become a physical or dance therapist

What is your favorite memory from high school so far?
Getting to go to state with the dance team freshman year

Go to Italy
